Arduino BLE Shield and SensorTag - Bluetooth forum

8 hours ago Hi Alessandro, In order to connect to the TI SensorTag, it needs to be in master mode. The BLE shield you mention can only operate in Slave mode (i.e. it can be used to build a SensorTag like device, exposing its own sensors and data to another master), so you cannot use that to connect to SensorTag and get its data.

SensorTag Altitude Logger - SensorTag - 43oh

11 hours ago Sep 29, 2015 . The average current was somewhere around 12mA (!), so the SensorTag would be draining a fresh CR2032 every 18 hours or so. This was confirmed when the altitude logger cut out after a further 90 minutes of use. Checking the sample projects showed equally bad results, so there had to be something odd going on.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What can I do with Arduino Bluetooth data logger?

One option would next be to attach to the Arduino an SD card writer, to allow data to be saved locally, with BlueTooth then used to access the data periodically. Data could be time-stamped using a separate clock module, or geo-positioned with a GPS module. To do something more useful with the data being received, there are also a number of options.

  • What is the pairing number for Arduino Bluetooth?

The ‘BlueTooth option is selected, and the Arduino module should then hopefully appear in the available devices list and can be selected and ‘paired’ (using the pairing number set earlier – e.g. the default being ‘1234’).

  • What kind of Bluetooth is used for Arduino?

The Grove – Blueseeed LE (HM11) is a Low Energy Bluetooth module that utilizes an HM11 with capabilities described as the one above in its datasheet. It can be used with your Arduino board alongside the base shield similar to the earlier tutorial!

  • Where does Bluetooth RX go on Arduino sketch?

When hooked up with the software sketch below, the Bluetooth RX goes to the SoftwareSerial TX, and the BlueTooth TX to the SoftwareSerial RX respectively. Once connected, you can create a new sketch to allow communications.
