• Is there a new Blue KC member portal?

  Blue KC is excited to announce a redesign of our member portal. The new portal includes a modernized design, improved navigation, and access to features such as your claims status and provider directories. If you were previously signed up for the portal, please re-register to access the newly redesigned portal.

• Where to apply for Blue advantage in Kansas?

  To enroll in a Blue Advantage plan, you must have both Medicare Parts A and B and reside in the Missouri counties of Cass, Clay, Clinton, Jackson, Lafayette, Platte and Ray, or in the Kansas counties of Johnson and Wyandotte may apply to join Blue Medicare Advantage.

• Can a Blue KC member use an out of network provider?

  For Blue Medicare Advantage (HMO) products only, members must use plan providers except in emergency or urgent care situations. If a member with an HMO product obtains routine care from an out-of-network provider without prior approval from Blue KC, neither Medicare nor Blue KC will be responsible for the costs.
