See the Auth Providers section. If you’re seeing authentication failures from 127.0.0.1 and you’re using the nmap device tracker, you should exclude the Home Assistant IP from being scanned. Under the new authentication system you’ll see the following warning logged when the legacy API password is supplied, but not configured in Home Assistant:
Enter the system’s default username, admin , and leave the password field blank. Click Sign In. Continue through the proceeding steps to finish resetting your password for your administrator account. Create a strong password then log in to DSM with the username admin and the password you have just created.
If you do not receive your password reset email within 10 minutes, please check your “Spam/Junk” folders before requesting another password reset. If for some reason this does not work, Contact TCEO and request a password reset.
