New translations of Czech terms or English interpretations come up every day. In addition, the English translation for a Czech technical term often depends on the context it is being used in. So our dictionary includes many different, yet similar English to Czech translations.
Some Latin characters exist in two variants, i.e. hard and soft consonants s and š (like in sine/shine) or short and long vowels o and ó (like in cost / door). Czech spelling is almost purely “phonetical”, i.e. one character represents one sound.
