    Lifetime Ewe Management (LTEM) is a nationally accredited course involving groups of five to six producers and six 'hands-on' sessions over a period of 12 months. Training under the Lifetime Ewe Management program equips participants with best practice management principles for ewe management to increase on-farm productivity and profitability.

  • What is ltem and how does it work?

    The content of LTEM is based largely on scientific outcomes from the Lifetime Wool project which quantified the impacts of nutrition throughout the reproductive cycle on ewe and progeny performance over their lifetime. Around 4000 sheep producers across Australia have joined or completed LTEM.

  • How many ewes does ltem help?

    LTEM has been delivered to about 2000 producers managing about 7.6 million breeding ewes, or almost 20% of the national ewe flock, between 2006/07 and 2013/14. On average, LTEM participants improved the number of lambs weaned per hectare by 30%.

  • When is ltltem best for me?
