You can install an air admittance valve under the kitchen sink in about an hour with some common hand tools. 1 Loosen the couplers holding the P-trap and female trap adapter onto the sink drain beneath the kitchen sink with a large pair of slip-joint pliers. Set the P-trap and trap adapter aside.
If installing a push-to-connect type valve, clean the pipe with the sanding cloth, ensuring that the pipe is clean and smooth. If installing a compression-style valve, slide the compression nut over the supply pipe. Slide the nut as far back on the pipe as possible to give yourself room to work.
Mount the faucet to the sink as per manufacturer instructions. Then screw-on the hot and cold waterlines. Don’t overtighten. Thread dope or tape is not needed. The picture shows how the connectors should be screwed on, although you’ll do the fastening underneath the sink.
Wrap the threads with thread seal tape or pipe thread compound. If installing a solder-type valve, place the valve onto the pipe to ensure a tight fit. Twist it to distribute the flux evenly. Open the valve completely to keep the internal washer from melting.

There are four main ways of getting water out of your container and into a cup or sink:
Without further adieu, this is the DIY version of a Vanlife Customs sink and water system. Two 7-gallon water tanks (one fresh water - one gray water) This DIY sink set-up was designed to be as simple, repairable, and as convenient as we could build it.
In nearly all conventional campervan conversion, there are three different methods on how to pump fresh water around your system. The simplest method to move water through your system is via a manual water pump. The most popular models have a plunger built directly into the tap. Simply pump up and down to commence water flow.
A very simple solution to store your water in your campervan is with a detachable water tank. The most basic water storage solution in a campervan is a detachable fresh water tank.
