The power MOSFET’s are constructed in a V configuration. Therefore, it is also called as V-MOSFET, VFET. The symbols of N- channel & P- channel power MOSFET are shown in the below figure. There is three basic status in the power MOSFET which is following.
The switching times of the MOSFET are affected not only by the parasitic elements, but also by the driving circuit. Under the conditions described above, it was assumed that the gate circuit does not limit the switching performance of the power MOSFET.
In some small Brushless DC motor or stepper motor applications, the MOSFET driver can be used to directly drive the motor. For this application note, though, we are going to assume that a little more voltage and power capability is needed than what the MOSFET drivers can handle.

The MOSFET can carry the same current through the channel or in reverse through the body diode. The maximum steady state current in the diode is dependent on the total allowed power loss for the device. However, the diode current may be different from the channel current because the power dissipation may be different under the 2 modes of operation.
Rth (mb-amb) is a function of the PCB design and the thermal management scheme and is not under the control of Nexperia. A very good multilayer FR4 design with thermal vias would be around 30 - 40 K/W.
