MMHI: Program of Assertive Community Treatment The Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) serves individuals living with a serious and persistent mental illness (examples: schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder).
PACT PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY. The Catholic Charities Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) for Middlesex County is an initiative funded through the State of New Jersey that serves persons in the community with serious and persistent mental illness.
The program’s goal is to enable patients to live successfully in the community and avoid hospitalizations. The model for community treatment developed by PACT has been adopted throughout the world. Personal choice: The individual's needs and goals drive decision-making regarding treatment and support.
PACT services in WA are supported by Medicaid and state funds, and administered locally. The ACT model—which supports team operations and informs policy decisions—includes a stakeholder advisory body made up of community partners and at least 51% representation by people with lived experience of mental health conditions and their families.
