How can I connect Sonos?
Once you get the Sonos Connect, you need to wire the laptop or desktop you’re using to the line-in input on the Connect. This will link your computer’s audio to the Sonos app; now, open the Sonos app, go to Settings, Room Settings and then choose the Sonos speakers you want to use as your new computer speakers.
Do I need A SONOS connect?
First thing to mention - if you are simply looking to create a dedicated Sonos home audio system and don't wish to link up any non-Sonos products into your set up, you do not need a CONNECT or a CONNECT:AMP. Sonos is a wireless system and does not need any additional hardware to run.
