An investigation by The Intercept has called into doubt Zoom’s claim of end-to-end encryption on its video calls.
To begin, click on the Zoom toggle to open the Settings tab. When the toggle opens, you will receive a verification dialog display. On your screen, select the “Turn On” option to enable Privacy Settings and Verification. Once done, verify by restarting the application.
Connect directly to your Zoom meeting room. First time users will be prompted to install the Zoom application. If you’ve been provided with a Zoom meeting ID, you can enter it here. When logging in for the first time be sure to use the SSO-login to access the institutional version of Zoom or follow the setup instructions at getting started with Zoom. The Zoom Meeting and Zoom Webinar tools offer similar features and functionality but have some key differences.
