2022 Mid-Year Meeting 2022 Mid-Year Meeting After 2 long years, AZA is excited to finally be returning to in-person meetings! The 2022 Mid-Year Meeting will take place April 19-24 in Long Beach, CA, hosted by Aquarium of the Pacific. It will provide all the networking, programming, and events that you’ve come to expect from the Mid-Year Meeting; workshops, summits, working meetings, general sessions, exhibitors, Aquarium Day, and more! The safety of our attendees and staff are of top priority. Therefore, we will follow a strict policy requiring proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (and booster, if eligible) in order to attend all meetings, conferences, and professional development courses in 2022. We will follow all state and local public health requirements applicable at the time of the meeting regarding masks for indoor gatherings. We are currently shaping an option for limited, virtual attendance to a select portion of the in-person sessions. We anticipate that this will be done as a live stream with some opportunities to engage in conversation with others attending virtually. It WILL NOT include allowing individuals to present or participate virtually in Committee, Animal Program, or other working meetings. Anyone presenting or participating must be in-person. Virtual attendees will not be able to speak or present. This virtual experience would not include all programming, and would be different from the fully virtual conferences we offered in 2020 and 2021. More details regarding the virtual experience will be shared, as they are confirmed. Registration, housing information, and a draft schedule will be available in mid-February.
