The challenge in fully removing a Windows desktop application lies in finding the right balance. Many Windows files and Registry settings are shared by more than one program. The trick is to remove any leftover files and settings for the program you're uninstalling without disabling another program that may still rely on those items.
Uninstaller software, in case you didn't know, is software you install for the purpose of uninstalling other software programs. Confused? It does seem a little strange to install a program whose sole purpose is to remove other software, especially since you can uninstall programs easily from Control Panel with the Programs & Features applet.
You can uninstall a program from the Windows 10 Start menu. Click the Start button and look for a program you wish to remove, either in the All Apps list on the left or in the tiled section on the right.
To manage the installed programs on your computer you will often use the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel (Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs). You will rarely use this applet to add programs to your computer because most programs have their own installer. However, you will use this applet a lot to remove programs or change how they are installed.
You can only find it by swiping down on your home screen to bring up search, then typing its name, or just Code or Scanner. Once launched, the app – which was highlighted by Gadget Hacks – can be used to scan QR codes and the new-with- iOS 14 App Clip codes.
