I have made a simple Java project (let's call this Example) to call a utility jar (let's call this ExampleUtil.jar ). Example contains the module-info.java in the src directory and runs fine in Eclipse (I had added ExampleUtil.jar as a module dependency). If I call:

8 hours ago Apr 20, 2019 . The jlink feature in Java allows you to create a separate runtime environment for an app. Generally, all of the modules needed for this app are squashed into one large "modules" file by jlink. I am interested in finding out if there is a way to leave out some of the modules, so that they are separate jar files, but so that jlink will be able to ...

To connect to a specific J-Link in an automated way (no user interaction required), J-Link Commander needs to be told the S/N of the J-Link to connect to. This can be done via two different methods: Specify the S/N directly via command line. See -SelectEmuBySN above for more information.
In a single sentence, we can say that Jlink is used to create our own customized small JRE (Java RunTime Environment). JLink is the Java’s new command line tool (available in JDK_HOME/bin) which allows us to link sets of only required modules (and their dependencies) to create runtime environment (our own JRE).
The path where the jlink tool discovers observable modules. These modules can be modular JAR files, JMOD files, or exploded modules. The names of the modules to add to the runtime image. The jlink tool adds these modules and their transitive dependencies.
In order to use jlink, we need to know the list of the JDK modules that the application uses and that we should include in our custom JRE. Let's use the jdeps command to get the dependent modules used in the application:
