The following summarises the examination structure and how the WJEC Maths GCSE is awarded. There are 3 tiers all of which adhere to the traditional grading system. All three tiers will sit two GCSE maths papers, one non-calculator and one calculator. The marks awarded for both papers are the same and of equal weighting.
For each of our qualifications, there will be several past papers available from previous years. There are also tiered papers available for certain subjects and the corresponding mark schemes are also available.
