During the last several weeks you received a post card from the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association (NCSFA) notifying you of changes that occurred to the management of the annual Certification of Firefighters procedure for the North Carolina Firefighters and Rescue Squad Workers Pension Fund and the NCSFA membership roster.
Call Insurance Specialists, Inc at 1-888-474-1959. The NCSFA provides $240,000.00 per year in scholarships. Applications go online January 1 st of each year and are due in the office of the NCSFA by March 15 th of each year. The NCSFA monitors bills and actions of the legislature on behalf of the membership and the fire service of North Carolina.
Belong to the NCSFA. File a relief fund financial statement online with the NCSFA by October 31 st of each year. File a Board of Trustees Report (Formally known as a Report of Fire Conditions) with the NCSFA annually with your roster certification between December 1st and January 15th.
The North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission accepts certifications accredited by IFSAC or Pro-Board and will recognize these as being equivalent to the North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission certification for comparable titled levels.
NCSFA Corporate Members represent companies who offer a full array of fleet products and services used by fleet administrators. State and university fleet administrators are tasked with more responsibility, asked to manage increasing complex initiatives, and must execute with less resources.
The North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission will not grant reciprocity to members of North Carolina Departments for certifications taken through an out‐of‐state delivery agency if those certification programs are offered in NC.
