• Is the Sanctus Church an in-person Church?

  Sanctus has invested into providing an enriching online church experience, as well as meeting in-person with limited attendance when government guidelines have allowed. The online community has become our official 5th location as a church, serving many from out of area locations with teaching, prayer and care.

• What does Vision Fund do for Sanctus church?

  Vision Fund giving carries major projects necessary to help reach Sanctus’ vision to be a regional church of 10,000 meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people in Jesus’ name. Projects will be added to the Vision Fund as Sanctus Church’s needs evolve and change.

• Where is the Sanctus sung in the Catholic Church?

  The Sanctus is sung by the people in “ Apostolic Constitutions “, VIII, XII, 27 (Brightman, “Eastern Liturgies”, 18-19) and so in almost all rites. The scanty state of our knowledge about the early Roman Mass accounts for the fact that we have no allusion to the Sanctus till it appears in the first Sacramentaries.

• What do the angels say in the Sanctus?

  It is a quotation of what the angels say. We thank God with the angels, who say unceasingly: “Holy, holy, holy”, etc. Logically the celebrant could very well himself say or sing the Sanctus. But, apparently from the beginning of its Christian use (so already Clem. Rom.), one of the dramatic touches that continually adorn the liturgy was added here.

• Is there a family ministry at Sanctus church?

  Family ministry is currently not available for in-person services. At Sanctus, we don't just provide childcare, we provide full children's programming on Sundays. This programming involves a worship time, teaching time, and activity time. Sanctus Ajax has full access to all ministries available at Sanctus Church.

• What do people wear to Sanctus Church in Ajax?

  At Sanctus Church, we take a 'come as you are' approach. Some people dress in suits, others in jeans and a t-shirt. Due to COVID-19 family ministry is currently operating over video on our Sanctus Kids YouTube page. Family ministry is currently not available for in-person services.
